≡ OECD Cuts S. Korea's Economic Growth Outlook For 2019 To 2.4%
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has cut its growth outlook for the South Korean economy this year to 2.4 percent.
The OECD's latest forecast on Tuesday represented a drop from the previous 2.6 percent projected in March.
It also said South Korea would grow 2.5 percent in 2020, compared to an earlier forecast of 2.6 percent.
The OECD said the weaker growth is due in part to sluggish domestic demand and global trade as well as a decline in fixed investments and weak job creation, reflecting restructuring in manufacturing.■
